The development of the design is based on “Munjado,” the letter painting, which is considered a traditional culture of Korea.
The development of the design is based on “Munjado,” the letter painting, which is considered a traditional culture of Korea. The design is a new expression reinterpreted by the formative characteristics and colors of the letter painting in a modern way, in particular, the design was developed counting on the motif of “Chaekgeori Munjado,” which forms part of letter painting. To be specific, the silhouette was embodied by the reflection of detailed elements such as harmony, symbolism, aesthetics, and decorativeness, which are subordinate concepts of formativeness. As for the techniques, I applied digital textile printing and laser cutting. Furthermore, "효", one of the "Hyojemunjado", was reinterpreted in Korean and printing.
우리나라의 대표적인 전통 문화인 '문자도' 를 통해 디자인을 전개하였다. 문자도의 조형적 특징과 색채를 현대적으로 재해석하여 디자인을 새롭게 표현하였으며, 특히 문자도의 종류 중 하나인 '책거리 문자도'를 모티프로 디자인을 전개시켰다. 구체적으로 조형성의 하위 개념인 조화성, 상징성, 심미성, 장식성을 세부 요소로 반영하여 실루엣을 표현하였다. 기법으로는 Digital Textile Printing과 Laser Cutting을 이용하였고, '효제문자도' 중 하나인 '효'를 한글로 재해석하여 프린팅으로 사용하였다.
本设计是通过韩国具有代表性的传统文化“文字图”完成的。以现代的方式重新诠释文字图的造型特点和色彩，重新表达了设计，特别是以文字图的种类之一“文房画文字图”为主题展开了设计。具体体现了造型概念上的——协调性、象征性、审美性、装饰性反映作为细节要素，表现了廓形。在技术方面，使用了数字纺织品印刷和激光切割，将“孝悌文字图”之一的“孝”重新解释为韩文，使用了印刷技术。
