A person who lives in the city from nature, Matoaka.The natives weaved natural objects to use as ornaments, or carved patterns on their skin to convey their own meaning. By weaving, engraving, and painting the patterns and forms that appeared in nature using the property of ‘leather’, I tried to unravel it in the way of expression of city dwellers.
자연에서 도시로 건너와 살아가는 자, 마토아카.원주민들은 자연물들을 엮어서 장신구로 사용하거나 자신들의 피부에 무늬를 새겨서 자신만의 의미를 담기도 하였다. 이러한 자연에서 나타났던 무늬와 형태들을 ‘가죽’이라는 물성을 사용하여 엮고, 새기고, 칠함으로써 도시인의 표현방식으로 풀어내고자 하였다.
